Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and updating of financial systems, specifically Aptitude.
  • Reviewing procedure and policies for financial systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues with implemented financial systems.
  • Implementing changes to financial systems in a controlled manner with appropriate testing and review.
  • Ensuring that the impact of changes to financial systems on business processes are understood.
  • Performing ad-hoc and periodic investigations as requested by Financial Controllers.
  • Support testing of any changes to financial systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background including an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification (minimum 7 years post-qualification experience).
  • Strong experience working within an insurance or reinsurance business.
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of Oracle Financials, including troubleshooting, system configuration, and usage as a Systems Accountant.
  • Proven experience in managing and improving financial systems, ensuring their alignment with business needs.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial system updates and reporting.
  • Proficiency in other financial systems and tools, such as Excel, Aptitude, and data analytics software.
