The client is a medium-sized M&E contractor with over 40 years of experience, specializing in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating services. They work on large-scale residential and housing association projects.

As the company's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, your role is to ensure compliance with current regulations set out by the IET from pre-construction to practical completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical testing, ensuring all testers and subcontractors meet contractual obligations on time and carry out suitable witness testing and tester audits.
  • Design, assisting project teams in reviewing electrical designs and drawings prior to commencement and during the delivery of works.
  • Inspections, carrying out audits of installations in terms of design compliance, regulations, and quality while issuing any necessary improvement notices.
  • Defect Period/PPM, assisting the company's service and maintenance teams with any aspects of electrical installations in occupied buildings.
  • Staff Training, mentoring electrical apprentices via suitable periodic inspections and appraisals.
  • Health & Safety, ensuring the H&S Manager is made aware of any key electrical risks on any contract by means of site tours or training as and when required.
  • Estimating, assisting electrical estimators with any queries while ensuring they are made aware of all current regulations.

The area you will be required to cover includes London and the Northern Home Counties, including Watford, Milton Keynes, North London, and as far as Bedford.
