We are seeking an experienced UK Payroll Services Expert to join our team at HR-Solutions, a prominent provider of payroll support services to businesses across the UK.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional to utilise their expertise in managing payroll operations for multiple clients. As a UK Payroll Services Expert, you will be responsible for leading our team in delivering first-class payroll services, ensuring accuracy of payroll data, and addressing any client queries.
Job DescriptionKey responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, including data collection, processing, and payment submissions.
- Maintaining precise and up-to-date payroll records, adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
- Liaising closely with clients to guarantee the accuracy of payroll information and address any queries or concerns.
- Handling payroll-related tasks such as filing, setting up new employees, and updating HMRC tax codes.
- Computing termination payments, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, and adoption payments.
- Reviewing automatic calculations by manually computing statutory entitlements.
- Calculating holiday pay and entitlement.
- Preparing and submitting P11Ds, P11d(b), and payrolled benefits documentation.
- Handling salary/pay rises and determining back pay owed.
- Ensuring timely submission of RTI forms, conducting NI checks, processing FPS and EPS submissions, and preparing Tax Year End statements.
- Aiding the Payroll Manager and colleagues in process enhancements.
- Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
- Contributing to system updates, parallel testing, migrations, reconciliations, and implementations.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of payroll management, impeccable communication skills, and the capacity to work autonomously with minimal oversight. Additionally, they should exhibit high levels of precision, attention to detail, and excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- CIPP qualified.
- Previous experience running an end-to-end service for multiple client payrolls.
- Experience using payroll systems, preferably SAGE.
- Demonstrable experience managing employee and client queries.
- Experience with third-party service providers and HMRC portal.
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
- Ability to write clear English.
- Computer literate with MS Word, Excel, and web-based HR database experience.
- Excellent organisational and administration skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional and flexible attitude.
