Senior UI Developer

Citi is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI Developer to join our Commodities Risk team. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for developing responsive, high-performance web applications using React and related libraries to deliver exceptional user experiences for risk management applications.

You will work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into interactive and visually appealing user interfaces. Additionally, you will integrate with Citi-provided container services, design storage of entitlements/configs and transactional data, and create reusable React components and libraries to facilitate rapid development and ensure consistency across different sections of the application.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing responsive, high-performance web applications using React and related libraries
  • Working closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into interactive and visually appealing user interfaces
  • Integrating with Citi-provided container services and designing storage of entitlements/configs and transactional data
  • Creating reusable React components and libraries to facilitate rapid development and ensure consistency across different sections of the application
  • Implementing state management using Redux or Recoil to manage application state efficiently and ensure data consistencies across components
  • Collaborating with backend developers to integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization between frontend and backend systems
  • Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in the application, including rendering optimizations, code splitting, and lazy loading techniques to enhance overall performance and user experience
  • Writing clean, well-documented code following best practices and coding standards, and conducting unit tests and integration tests to ensure stability of the system
  • Staying updated with the latest trends and developments in frontend technology, especially in the React ecosystem
