About Outward Housing
Outward Housing is a care and support charity based in London, providing innovative housing management, support, and care solutions to people in need.
Our goal is to empower individuals to determine the kind of support they receive, enabling them to live independent lives.
As part of the Newlon Group, we manage supported housing for over 350 people and work across 8 London Boroughs.
We provide services to a wide range of people, including those with autism and learning disabilities.
Role Overview
We are seeking committed individuals who can demonstrate a clear understanding of the challenges our charity and the people we support face.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the positive impact that good social care can make and have a genuine desire to make a difference in helping people with disabilities to live independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategic governance of Outward Housing, ensuring the charity's goals are achieved.
- Advise on and inform the development of care and support services, particularly for people with high care and support needs.
- Support the charity's commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring the Board reflects the communities we serve.
Requirements
We welcome applicants with experience in managing, inspecting, commissioning, and/or developing care and support services, particularly for people with high care and support needs.
Additional desired skills include experience as a health or social care professional, regulation in social care or other fields, and lived experience as a carer or advocate for a person with learning disability or autism.
