Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at Teach 360. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to students with special educational needs.

About the Role:
  • Plan and teach lessons to small groups and individual students, as well as working with small groups of students.
  • Write reports and take attendance, prepare teaching materials, and take registers.
  • Encourage students to learn and develop confidence by helping them develop independence and self-confidence.
  • Manage behaviour, mark work, and keep parents and carers informed about the progress their children are making.
  • Assist specialist teaching services, medical personnel, counsellors, and psychologists with the provision of education.
  • Organise educational trips, attend workshops, and provide training to other teaching staff on special educational needs issues.
About the School:

Our school is a co-educational special school specialising in autism and complex needs. We cater to children aged between 2 and 19 with social communication, cognitive, sensory, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

Our school is located in a purpose-designed building equipped with all the necessary features to meet the needs of students with autism and complex needs.

We work closely with partners in health, education, and family support practitioners to enhance the experience of parents and caregivers, as well as the progress of children and young people.

Requirements:
  • Understanding of the teaching process and ability to design courses.
  • Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of others.
  • Patient and calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work with others well.
  • Creation of a learning environment conducive to learning and teaching.
  • Understanding of the English language.
  • Flexibility and openness to changes in the future.
  • Ability to understand a person's reaction to a situation.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and main software packages.
