About the Role
Splash Damage is a renowned game development studio that creates engaging multiplayer experiences. We are seeking an exceptional Senior System Programmer to join our Core Tech team, responsible for designing and implementing large-scale system features that encompass rendering, networking, and low-level systems programming.

As a key member of our team, you will leverage your advanced knowledge and experience to drive technical innovation, ensuring our games deliver high-performance, scalable, and secure experiences for players worldwide. Your expertise in data structures and algorithms will enable you to build state-of-the-art technology for both PC and consoles, fostering a collaborative environment with other disciplines. In this role, you will:
  • Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure system features.
  • Mentor junior team members and champion best practices within the specialist domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project goals and roadmaps.
The ideal candidate will have professional game engine code experience, particularly in areas such as I/O, rendering, physics, low-level networking, memory management, multithreading, content pipelines, etc. Additionally, experience working on Xbox Series S/X and/or PS5 systems, and strong practical knowledge of C++ are essential. A good understanding of computer science and 3D math is also required. Experience with source control systems, writing automation tasks, profiling, and optimising code will be highly valued. Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per annum.
