The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional appearance, and be trustworthy and diligent with previous experience in analytical or business partnering tasks. You will be the primary financial controls contact for various stakeholders across the business, focusing on execution and continuous improvement of financial controls and reporting.
The organisation offers flexible working arrangements, with 1-2 days per week spent in the office working 39 hours. Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring key controls are operating effectively across finance processes
- Supporting the month-end close process, including submission of financial reporting
- Ownership and review of the month-end intercompany accounting
- Responsible for the maintenance of the chart of accounts, including the correct setup of new general ledger accounts as well as month-end timetable and ledger controls
- Supporting the external and internal audit processes
- Supporting compliance regulation and reporting
- Supporting the implementation of business simplification and continuous improvement of the financial control environment
- Supporting the wider finance team with cross-functional projects to deliver systems and process improvements
You will be:
- At a minimum Part-Qualified accountant with a recognised professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Capable with Excel and experience of working with large data sets
- Experience prioritising tasks within a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using an array of finance systems and IT software
