The successful candidate will be pivotal in the disassembly, mechanical QA checks, electrical testing, overhaul, repair, assembly, service, and maintenance of high and low voltage AC motors and generators, with a focus on high voltage machines.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Installation, removal, and replacement of HV motors, generators, and white metal bearings.
  • Laser alignment and electrical winding skills are desirable.
  • Leading or working as part of a team on various customer sites within the UK, Offshore Oil/Gas Installations, and abroad.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Electrical/Mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong engineering background in a similar role working with HV electrical rotating machines.
  • Knowledge and experience in quality assurance, quality control, and health and safety legislation.
  • Previous experience in the overhaul and repair of electric motors and generators, including LV and HV, along with other rotating equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
