Job Title: Fire Station Operations Manager

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Fire Station Operations Manager to join our team at Capita Defence Fire & Rescue. As a Fire Station Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting the implementation of our strategic objectives. This will involve effectively managing Fire Safety/Response resources and assets, monitoring, managing, and reporting of compliance and conformance of service and personnel performance. You will also be responsible for delivering and implementing special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will be required to directly manage nominated Fire Station/Fire Safety personnel and outputs.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of operating in the role of Watch Manager as a minimum, in a Fire and Rescue Service. You will also need to have a sound understanding of the Incident Command Systems (ICS), Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP), and strong understanding of Fire Safety and Response Management Systems. You will also need to have evidence of good knowledge of fire and community safety issues, as well as evidence of continuous professional development.

About the Company:

At Defence Fire & Rescue, we are modernising the fire and rescue service of the Ministry of Defence. We are upgrading fire-fighting capabilities using digital technology solutions, creating a centralised training facility, and delivering brand new equipment. Our service is operating in 53 fire stations in the UK and on MOD sites in Cyprus and the Falkland Islands.
