Technical Development Lead - Grind at Work

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Development Lead to spearhead the machine development, shape and launch the Grind at Work platform, and be part of our next game-changing coffee endeavour.

About Us

Grind is a dynamic, fast-growing company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, we've expanded across London with cafés, coffee trucks and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery. We serve millions of cups of coffee across London and the UK each year, and have helped hundreds of thousands of people make better, more sustainable coffee at home.

The Role

You will develop the blueprint for the Grind recipes and drink settings for all automated equipment, as well as a training and accreditation system for our partners. You will also help develop and launch testing protocols for new equipment, and work on a technical support strategy with our UK agents and in-house maintenance team.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop the technical specifications for the Grind at Work platform
  • Work with the roastery team to develop Grind recipes and drink settings
  • Develop a training and accreditation system for our partners
  • Help develop and launch testing protocols for new equipment
  • Work on a technical support strategy with our UK agents and in-house maintenance team
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience and knowledge of Super Automatic Espresso machines and understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience of offering system support
  • Ability to diagnose faults and get to the bottom of the root cause in an efficient, systematic way
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A high degree of organisational, communication (written and verbal) and administrative skills, with a strong delivery focus
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as access to our company wellness scheme and full access to our Mental Health Service throughout the year.
