Financial Crime Operations Lead

We are seeking an experienced Financial Crime Operations Lead to join our team at Unity Trust Bank. As a key member of our Customer Fulfilment function, you will play a critical role in leading our Financial Crime Operations team and implementing our Financial Crime framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Financial Crime Operations team and implement the bank's Financial Crime framework, including AML, CTF, Sanction compliance, Fraud Standards, CDD, KYC, and ABC.
  • Deliver training and awareness initiatives to ensure compliance with Financial Crime regulations.
  • Provide 1st line advice and guidance on Financial Crime matters.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Financial Crime 1LOD Operation, ensuring pre-defined service levels are met.
  • Support the development of key risk indicators to support the bank's Financial Crime risk appetite.
  • Collaborate with the 2nd line policy owners to identify MI reporting requirements for critical Financial Crime metrics.

Requirements:

  • Financial Crime qualifications (E)
  • Operational knowledge of bank processes and key regulatory/legal issues (E)
  • Extensive experience leading and delivering SME Financial Crime teams and frameworks, including compliance requirements and expectations (ideally within commercial banking) (E)
