Job Overview:
AWE is recruiting for an experienced Buyer to support procurement activities, from requesting quotations and placing orders (AMS/Fusion) to expediting and invoice queries. This includes ordering core stock items such as filters, valves, bolts etc.

Salary Range: £29,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on suitability, qualifications, and level of experience.

Working Pattern:
AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. Flexible working requests are considered so that work may fit in with your lifestyle.

The Role:
This role involves the end-to-end management of purchase orders, including expediting and resolving invoice queries to meet business needs, and issuing requests for quotations (RFQ's). Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing operational support with supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and payment of invoices.
  • Managing day-to-day buying activities, ensuring demands are understood and met with any issues dealt with promptly.
  • Assisting with data collection and validation to support reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships and awareness within the internal commercial function and external suppliers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking individuals with good communication skills, comfortable dealing with stakeholders of all levels, and who can build supplier relationships. Key skills and qualifications include:
  • Planning and prioritizing workload.
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Delivering objectives on time, in full.
  • Accuracy in data entry and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a procurement or customer services environment.
