North Yorkshire Police is seeking a skilled GIS Data Specialist to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of geospatial applications. As a GIS Data Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date mapping systems for North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, and Office for Policing, Fire, Crime and Commissioning (OPFCC).

About the Role
  • Maintain information held within gazetteer and mapping systems.
  • Ensure computer systems critical to public safety have access to current mapping and addressing information.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a cartographic or GIS environment and knowledge of NEC Universe GIS/Cadcorp GIS or other major GIS systems. A degree in GIS or Geography would be advantageous.

As a GIS Data Specialist, you will work closely with our team to provide high-quality support and maintain accurate data. You will also be responsible for investigating and resolving issues with gazetteer and mapping data.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including flexible working, 24 days holiday entitlement, and local government pension scheme.
