About the Role

  • As a Test Engineer at our Lewes facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our Cryo-SEM preparation chambers and Electron Microscopy (EM) coaters.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with NPD teams to design and develop product solutions, meeting project timescales and delivering high-quality products.
  • Liaise with project teams to define product testing needs and document them in test plans, showcasing your excellent technical writing skills.
  • Conduct thorough testing of new products as defined by project needs and provide valuable insights for improving design quality.
  • Periodically test existing products, documenting findings and contributing to the development of new product solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering team members to enhance the quality of design solution outputs, applying your analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

About You

  • You hold a minimum HNC/HND in engineering or a related discipline and have relevant experience in a comparable test type role.
  • You possess strong understanding of CAD tools, enabling you to navigate systems and interpret design files efficiently.
  • Your proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential for managing test data and creating quality reports.
  • A positive attitude towards problem-solving, along with a willingness to challenge the engineering team to find innovative solutions, is highly valued in this role.
