Job Overview


The role of Aerospace & Defence Sales Strategist at Ryder System involves retaining and growing current customers, improving the profitability of existing accounts, and developing new customer business to meet or exceed assigned revenue and new account quotas.



About the Position



  • This position is responsible for assigned accounts in the Customer Business Unit (CBU) to focus management attention on customer retention and satisfaction as well as the development of profitable new customer business within the assigned sales territory.


Key Responsibilities



  1. Educate and develop customers' interests in addition to Ryder services including Full Service Lease, Programmed Maintenance, Lease Financing, Fleet Management Services, and Dedicated Contract Carriage.
  2. Educate and develop prospects' value perception of Ryder services by using the Ryder Sales Process.
  3. Develop sales plans, analyze the profitability of accounts, fully understanding competitive influences and risks within each account.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Marketing or equivalent experience required.
  • Five years or more consecutive sales excellence (quota achievement) in prior sales responsibilities required.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.

Estimated Salary


$68,000 - $72,000 per year, plus commission.
