Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist for Children and Adolescents

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Medway CAMHS team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support and guidance to our team, working directly with young people and their families, and liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.

About the Role:
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Medway.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:14, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.
  • Work alongside another CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist.
  • Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
Person Specification:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent.
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
