About the Role:

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sous Chef to join our Hotel Kitchen team at Arena Racing Company, a leading hospitality and entertainment organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an innovative food offer across our retail, hospitality, and fine dining propositions, aligning with our company's vision for exceptional customer experiences.
  • Implement and adhere to our Company Food Safety Management System across all areas within remit, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Collaborate with the Hotel Head Chef to manage the Kitchen staff rota across all sites, ensuring set cost targets are met and operational efficiency is maintained.
  • Take personal accountability for food safety compliance, including ensuring allergen information is displayed correctly and teams are trained and briefed accordingly.
  • Support the delivery of financial targets, demonstrating a deep understanding of our business operations and financial goals.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 food preparation (or equivalent)
  • Food Safety Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record in a similar role, with a strong background in culinary leadership and team management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage service and commodities, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent communicator, calm under pressure, and able to act on own initiative.
