The Medical HR Team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Medical Recruitment Specialist. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective medical recruitment service.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Medical Workforce and Medical HR Managers in reviewing recruitment processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance service provision.
- Contribute to the promotion of improved ways of working within the team, focusing on efficiency, customer satisfaction, and professionalism.
- Process recruitment-related correspondence and documentation, ensuring accurate completion of safe recruitment procedures, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting, preparing, and issuing contracts.
- Responsible for issuing accurate contracts of employment for new starters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, trust policies, and departmental guidelines.
- Input data for vacancies, applications, interviews, new starters, and other recruitment-related information through HR onboarding systems.
- Undertake payroll processes, including completion of payroll documentation for new starters and issuing generic work schedules for trust doctors employed on the 2016 contract.
- Monitor DBS processes and escalate any issues as necessary.
- Complete necessary paperwork for Tier 2 Visa applications, ensuring compliance with trust and legislative requirements.
- Deal with enquiries and promote the interests of University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, utilizing social media to optimize recruitment opportunities.
- Assist in delivering medical recruitment-related training, including Trac, NHS Jobs, ESR, and policies and procedures.
- Provide support and cover for colleagues as required, including assistance to other teams within the HR department when necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in HR systems, and have experience in recruitment and payroll processing. A strong understanding of employment legislation, trust policies, and departmental guidelines is essential.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
