Leisure Attendant

Job Title: 22.5 Hour Part-Time Leisure Attendant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a 22.5 hour part-time Leisure Attendant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable use of our facilities by customers of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Leisure Centre users, including adults, youths, children, and groups, to ensure safe use of facilities and equipment.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the building, including wet, dry, and other areas.
• Control facilities, issue and safeguard clothing and other personal belongings in the changing facility, assemble and dismantle facilities equipment.
• Oversee the general safety and behaviour of the public and users, direct their activities to prevent injury or misuse and damage to facilities.
• Adhere to current operating procedures for the facility, including the facilities Normal Operation Procedures and Emergency Action Plan.
• Attend regular Health & Safety training to maintain the required Health & Safety competency required for this post.
• Give trained assistance to Leisure Centre users in difficulty, including the use of appropriate appliances.
• Patrol the building to carry out routine maintenance and building security.
• Supervise children's activities, including birthday parties and Activity Camps.
• Carry out pool tests and assist in plant room operations as appropriate.
• Attend regular training to maintain the required competency and fitness standards.
• Undertake basic administration functions, including taking bookings, receiving cash through the computerised booking system, receiving customers, telephone calls, and receiving goods.
