Injection Moulding Equipment Operator

Job Summary:
TQR is seeking a highly skilled Injection Moulding Equipment Operator to join their moulding team at the Plymouth site. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and previous experience in a technical role. They will be responsible for operating injection moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic components according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate injection moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic components according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot any issues with the machines or processes through root cause analysis and technical fault finding.
- Complete routine planned maintenance tasks, including weekly, monthly, and six-monthly checks.
- Work closely with the PM Technician to complete annual maintenance tasks on machines.
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment and adherence to health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with other team members, including operators, quality technicians, engineers, and shift leaders.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records through SAP.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical).
- Previous experience in a technical-based role in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to fault-find on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Salary and Working Hours:
The estimated salary for this role is between £42,000-£52,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate must be able to work a continual 3 on 3 off night shift pattern working 23:00 to 11:00. The salary advertised is inclusive of 48% shift premium.
