Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our Pathology team at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist - Histology, you will play a key role in delivering quality pathology services and contributing to the validation and assessment of new equipment and diagnostic procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, and reporting
  • Conduct quality control and maintain records of specimens, results, reagents, and consumables
  • Validate and assess new equipment and develop new diagnostic procedures
  • Collaborate with the Pathology team to deliver high-quality patient care

Requirements

  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Relevant laboratory experience in Haematology and Blood Transfusion biomedical science
  • Good working knowledge of different analytical equipment and multi-disciplinary techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
