Job Description

Leicester Cathedral is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Administrator to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting requirements of the Cathedral, while also supporting the senior team with its strategic aims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer in maintaining a wide range of administrative and computer skills, as well as a deep understanding of procedures, protocols, and functions.
  • Help maintain a policy of regular review and tight control of the Cathedral's finances using forecasting and key performance indicators.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting requirements of the Cathedral, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the senior team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the Cathedral's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Part or fully qualified AAT or ACCA accountant.
  • Proven experience in financial administration, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Benefits
