About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Structural Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering projects and contributing to the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver structural engineering projects, including high-rise towers, hospital extensions, and listed building refurbishments.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our services.
  • Contribute to the development of our engineering team, including mentoring and training junior engineers.
Requirements
  • Chartered status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
  • Proven experience in structural engineering, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer and Autodesk Robot.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and location.
