About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our understanding of fusion technology and contributing to the realization of commercial fusion power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop knowledge and understanding of fusion relevant topics and apply this learning to assigned projects
  • Liaise with other teams and groups to build networks and ensure effective collaboration
  • Promote and support the broader Fusion Technology Division, ensuring project success
  • Engage in active information sharing with staff and students, define and oversee Early Career projects
  • Champion and share best practice, promoting respect, inclusion, and opportunity across UKAEA
Requirements
  • Demonstrable ability to question existing scientific models, able to express this clearly through high-quality written reports
  • IT literate, fluent in Microsoft Office, including Excel & Access, SharePoint
  • Good planning, organizing, and time management skills
