About the Position

We are seeking a Climate Risk Manager to join our team at Climate17. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of science-based targets for insurance companies.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with our Financial Institutions Net Zero Standard team to develop and refine insurance components for our FINZ Standard;
  • Leveraging your expertise in risk management and sustainability to drive innovative practices with climate and/or reinsurance companies;
  • Providing analytical support and insights to inform business decisions and drive growth;

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your location and experience level. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, flexible working hours, and access to professional development opportunities.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in risk management, sustainability, or a related field;
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights;
  • Demonstrated expository writing ability;
  • Professional certifications such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM);
