Job Description
Role Overview
As a Technical Services Manager, you will take ownership of the M&E in the preconstruction phase, from design through tendering and then delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Preconstruction Management: Collaborate with project teams to prepare detailed project specifications and technical proposals.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance during the design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration between design, engineering, and construction teams.
- Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment and success.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Technical Services Manager, ideally within a contractor environment.
- A strong mechanical background, with experience in M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) being essential.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices, with a focus on fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
