Job Description:

We are seeking a History Graduate to join our vibrant primary school in Newham, East London, as a Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about inspiring young learners and fostering curiosity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom: Assist with engaging lessons, including history-related topics and broader subjects like literacy and numeracy, to help students develop their knowledge and curiosity about the world.
  • Support literacy and research skills: With your background in history, provide guidance to help students develop key academic skills such as research, analysis, critical thinking, and effective communication.
  • One-to-one and small group support: Offer tailored guidance to individual students with reading or historical concepts, ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and inclusion teams: Work closely with the class teacher and the inclusion team to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive the right support to thrive academically and socially.
