As a Gas Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in providing a professional and efficient service to our management team, ensuring the delivery of maintenance tasks aligns with contract Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.

  • Support the Line Manager in implementing EMCOR policies, procedures, and standards to maintain the integrity of ongoing operational activities.
  • Deliver maintenance activities through effective organisation, planning, and communication, ensuring staff members are competent and trained to undertake tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor the progress of maintenance tasks, ensuring works are completed according to the agreed plan of work and to the satisfaction of the customer and regulatory authorities.
  • Regularly monitor the safety performance of all service aspects, identifying areas for improvement in conjunction with the HSE&Q team.
  • Ensure all Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments are read, understood, and appropriate for the task in hand.
  • Provide regular updates to the EMCOR Management team and maintain daily contact with the customer, attending meetings as necessary.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and/or manage Specialist Sub-contractors as required.
  • Produce, supervise, and/or manage the completion of appropriate records and documentation, including timesheets, job dockets, work orders, site audits, inspections, and testing certification.
  • Obtain quotations and provide necessary information for the raising of orders to ensure task completion, supporting the commercial team by providing financial completion information.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to ensure continued provision of high-quality service.
  • Attend meetings on an as-and-when-required basis.
  • Assist in other adhoc functions within the skills level, training, and experience as instructed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • ACS gas and OFTEC qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, HTR1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, and TCPC1.
  • NVQ or equivalent gas or plumbing qualification at Level 3, in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance.
  • Domestic or commercial gas, oil, and LPG experience, as well as gas catering or refrigeration experience, would be advantageous.
  • Experience with a range of commercial boiler plant and domestic boilers in commercial settings, carrying out relevant installations, repairs, and servicing in occupied and unoccupied properties.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of mechanical services, good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, and a solid background within a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the Permit to Work System and relevant Health and Safety Training.
