Medical Statistician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Statistician to join our team at the University of Leeds. As a key member of our Clinical Trials Research Unit, you will play a crucial role in designing and conducting clinical trials to improve patient outcomes and healthcare practices.

About the Role

As a Medical Statistician, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, and statisticians to develop and implement novel trial designs and statistical methods. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing and interpreting data to inform clinical decision-making and improve patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct clinical trials to answer questions of real importance in healthcare
  • Develop and implement statistical methods and models to analyze and interpret data
  • Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to develop and implement trial protocols
  • Communicate complex statistical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications
