We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Assistant to join our team in Leeds.

As a Learning Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs.

You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting lesson materials to meet the needs of students.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate, are preferred but not essential.
  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
