Management Accountant

Our client, a global manufacturing business in Darlington, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced international industrial business, with excellent progression opportunities.
Main duties/responsibilities:
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Analyzing overhead data to establish trends, overspends, and costs gaps. Working with local management to improve data accuracy.
- Developing monthly operational performance information, identifying operational losses to allow the business to make operational improvements.
- Reviewing overhead spend vs budget and forecast, approving or rejecting requisitions through the cost committee.
- Consolidating overhead forecast ready for forecast review.
- Weekly and monthly reporting of key financial data to the management team.
- Developing working capital improvement opportunities.
- Preparing audit packs (internal and external) with face-to-face discussions with the relevant audit teams.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and explaining the rationale behind each balance held.
- Preparing forecast, business plans, and budgets - P&L and B/S.
- Standardizing and simplifying processes.
You will be/have:
As the Management Accountant, you will be/have:
- Part Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) or Qualified by Experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to manage most aspects of month-end close and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A positive and approachable demeanor.
