Metal Fabrication Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team at Optima UK Inc Ltd. This is a challenging role that requires strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, using various tools and machines to cut, shape, and weld metal parts, and assembling the final product.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine requirements for metal fabrication projects
• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as shears, brakes, and welding machines to cut, bend, and shape metal
• Weld components into place to assemble the final product
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Maintain and repair equipment as necessary
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a metal fabricator or similar role
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and equipment
• Ability to operate various metalworking machines and tools
• Welding certification preferred

• Interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings

• Welding and assembling metal parts
• Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy
• Maintaining equipment and a clean work area

Salary: The salary for this role is estimated to be between £16-£18 per hour, plus overtime. Benefits include free parking, company events, progression opportunities, and working with a leading manufacturing business in the Leicester area.
