About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans for SEN pupils.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction among children with learning difficulties.
  • Monitor and report student progress to teachers and SENCOs, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes social inclusion.

About You

  • Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting, with a passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • A commitment to the development and well-being of children with special educational needs.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.
