Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing support for manufacturing processes, improving existing processes, qualifying new products, and developing automated manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create, verify, and release programs for CNC, CMM, EDM & Waterjet Machines
  2. Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes
  3. Develop and implement new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation
  4. Create supporting documentation for CNC, EDM, Waterjet, Automated operations & Production Gauge (SOP and EMS)
  5. Support the identification and implementation of new manufacturing technology
Requirements:
  1. Degree/HNC or equivalent in Engineering discipline - ideally Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  2. Five years' experience programming industrial manufacturing equipment
  3. Tooling design and/or CAD experience
  4. Experience trouble-shooting mechanical systems (pneumatics, tooling, measurement feedback systems)
  5. CMM Programming experience, proficient in CNC Milling, CAM an advantage
  6. Robot programming experience highly desirable
Working Hours and Benefits:

Days only, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm. Competitive salary, excellent pension scheme, and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
