North Ayrshire Council is a local authority committed to providing excellent public services. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Housing Advice Team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work with households and services to prevent homelessness where possible, using their skills and experience to make a positive impact in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide housing advice and support to individuals and families at risk of homelessness;
• To work closely with other teams and agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to preventing homelessness;
• To maintain accurate records and reports on cases worked on.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification in social science or related field (or equivalent experience);
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively;
• Familiarity with the Scottish Welfare Fund and other relevant legislation;
• Possession of a valid driving license (due to travel requirements).
