About the Role

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing multiple teams and providing daily and weekly reporting to the Senior Leadership Team. Your primary focus will be on supporting Software Development Managers with complex performance issues, leading department-wide projects, and managing performance reviews and personal development plans.

  • Reporting: Provide daily and weekly reports to the SLT as required.
  • Performance Support: Assist Software Development Managers with handling complex performance issues.
  • Project Management: Manage department-wide projects and improvement initiatives.
Your Responsibilities

  • Complete performance reviews and personal development plans for direct reports.
  • Manage performance issues in conjunction with your line manager.
  • Lead recruitment activities, including interviews.
  • Facilitate agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with other teams.
  • Design application architecture and achieve internal sign-off.
  • Lead development activities and guide teams using Scrum methodology.
  • Maintenance and Improvement: Guide teams and problem-solve bugs as discovered.
  • Use technical knowledge to prioritize maintenance and upgrades.
  • Pair program and lead peer reviews following the team's agile process.
About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM subject, preferably from a Russell Group University.
  • Strong experience managing multiple teams and a highly technical background.
  • Proven ability to support team progression and manage complex tasks.
  • Logical approach to problem-solving and good experience in SQL and relational databases.
  • Ability to manage and motivate others.
