Senior Faith and Pastoral Care Specialist

Role Overview: We are seeking a qualified chaplain to provide faith-specific care to prisoners and staff in our establishment. As a Senior Faith and Pastoral Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering worship services, providing pastoral care, and supporting the resettlement of offenders.
About the Role: This is a part-time position with an estimated salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Islam and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of faith and pastoral care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver worship services and provide pastoral care to prisoners and staff
- Support the resettlement of offenders through community outreach and engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of faith and pastoral care services
- Develop and maintain relationships with local faith communities
- Provide administrative support for chaplaincy services
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognized qualification in Islamic Studies, at least three years of experience as an Imam, and formal endorsement from the Prison Service Muslim Adviser at Chaplaincy HQ.
