Industrial Engineer (Automation) Role

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer (Automation) to join a well-established manufacturing business in Halifax. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation of automated processes and champion innovation within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Automate fabrication and welding manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead the selection and acquisition of suitable automation equipment and processes.
  • Optimize workflow by improving methods, designs, equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Eliminate non-value-added activities and ensure suitable gauging, instrumentation, and tools are available to validate products to design specifications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training for all tasks required in the manufacture and validation of products.
  • Conduct analytical or empirical studies to support proposed changes and liaise with customers and suppliers as required.
  • Produce process, method, and technical documentation for optimized manufacture and coordinate special services as needed.
  • Support new product, method, or process development to meet new designs and drive improvement using 5S principles on the shop floor.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge and background in fabrication and welding.
  • Apprenticeship or Technical/Engineering degree in a relevant field, preferably with 7+ years of experience in an Industrial Engineer/Automation role.
