Job Title: Skilled Fitter

Morson Talent is currently recruiting for a Skilled Fitter to join their team at the Filton site.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitter to work on a 6-month ongoing contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating as a multi-skilled, flexible worker to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate hand and machine tools used in the aircraft industry, including precision riveting, drill/ream/countersinking, and setting structures in build jigs.
  • Deburr structures and fettle using approved setting tools.
  • Treatment touch-up in localized areas on aluminum.
  • Use CNC pillar drills (DONAU).
Requirements:
  • Recognized indentured apprenticeship in a relevant field or an NVQ Level 3 with 3-5 years aerospace experience.
  • Ability to work to standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and techniques to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Self-motivated team player with good communication skills.
Working Conditions:

Standard hours: 35 per week. Other working hours information: 4-day week working Monday to Thursday could change to Tuesday to Friday with 2 weeks' notice. Hours are 7am to 4.15pm.

Security Requirements:

Baseline Security Clearance Required usually ahead of start date.
