About the Role

The Wellbeing and Support Officer will provide critical support to students, focusing on their academic and social development. This role involves offering guidance, advice, and referrals to other services within the Student Services Team. The post holder will be responsible for responding to student needs, including providing pastoral care, practical advice, and participating in extra-curricular events.

About You

  • You will have a proven track record of working in a similar role, with a comprehensive understanding of pastoral care issues and effective support measures.
  • You will be knowledgeable about safeguarding, wellbeing, equality, and diversity issues relevant to this role.
  • You will have a good understanding of learner needs and challenges facing young people.
  • Strong organisational, planning, time management, and administrative skills are essential for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of people are essential.

Salary:

From £23,990 to £25,000 per annum (Term Time Only 0.5FTE, pro-rata £26,000 to £29,000 per annum 1FTE), subject to qualifications and experience.
