Children's Learning Disability Support Worker

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our social care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities.
Job Summary:We are looking for a Support Worker who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people. As a Children's Learning Disability Support Worker, you will work closely with our experienced team to provide individualized care and support, promoting the independence and well-being of our young people.
Key Responsibilities:- Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
- Promote independence and well-being through person-centered care
- Attend weekend and evening activities to support young people's interests
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Provide emotional and practical support to young people
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
- Support and minimize incidents when behavior can be challenging
- Desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months experience of working with children or in a similar social care setting
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
