Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of sub-contractors to deliver all aspects of planning and operations.
  • Manage the project team and align constructability for the duration of the project.
  • Ensure performance meets recognized standards of productivity, quality, and compliance with essential health and safety provisions.
  • Provide operational and functional management advice on the practical implementation of the company's Environmental policies and processes.
  • Set standards and lead by example in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff.
  • Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for department staff.
  • Responsible for interpreting the organization's policies, purposes, and goals to staff.
  • Enforce compliance with company and site safety policies.
Requirements:
  • Higher National Diploma in a related Engineering or Construction field and 8 years of experience working within the HV sector, with 3 years of Site Management of HV Substation construction.
  • Higher National Certificate in a related Engineering or Construction field and 9 years of experience working within the HV sector, with 3 years of Site Management of HV Substation construction.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and the management of drawing systems.
