Job Title: Plant Supervisor

At Tarmac, we are committed to creating a dynamic and inclusive environment where our people can thrive. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Supervisor to join our Asphalt team based at our Nottingham Asphalt site in Nottinghamshire.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Asphalt operations on our plant, ensuring safety and operational standards are met. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and manage change. If you have experience in plant operations and a passion for delivering high-quality results, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the Asphalt operational team and maintenance contractors
  • Deliver toolbox talks and ensure compliance with business policies and procedures
  • Manage all aspects of plant production, including operational costs and stock control
  • Drive operational performance through KPIs and ensure efficient manufacture of Asphalt
  • Effectively coach and performance manage direct reports
  • Take responsibility for safety and site housekeeping
  • Batch Asphalt to meet customer needs while meeting internal quality requirements
Requirements:
  • Experience in plant operations, preferably in an Asphalt or Aggregates environment
  • Full knowledge of Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work Systems
  • Working knowledge of production processes and H&S policies
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification
  • NVQ in fixed and mobile plant operations
