Job Title: Graduate Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a reputable SEN school in central Liverpool.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide support to students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMD, and SpLD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of students with special needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to identify and meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, including the use of technology to engage students and promote learning.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, including reading, writing, and numeracy skills, as well as social and emotional support.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's SEN policy.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2:1 degree classification.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
