Clinical Pharmacist Specialist

About the Role
Aughton Surgery is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a prescribing Clinical Pharmacist, you will work alongside our pharmacists in general practice, improving patient health outcomes and the efficiency of the primary care team.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage repeat prescriptions, including queries raised by our prescriptions coordinator.
- Ensure patients' medication reviews are up to date.
- Reconcile medicines from clinical correspondence.
- Conduct structured medication reviews.
- Respond to and action tasks from clinical and administrative staff.
- Action MHRA drug alerts.
- Review and re-authorise newly registered patients' medication from GP2GP transfers.
- Manage blood pressure and medication for patients with long-term conditions.
- Ammend doses based on blood results (Levothyroxine).

Aughton Surgery is a friendly and supportive environment with a team of 5 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 physician associate, 1 practice nurse, and 1 HCA. We are also a training practice, regularly hosting GP registrars, medical students, and student PAs.
