We are seeking an Automotive Fleet Engineer to join our team at WeDo Recruitment Investments Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet by designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient maintenance schedules. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Fleet Maintenance Scheduling: Design and implement efficient maintenance schedules to ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet.
  2. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  3. Mechanical Repairs: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues using advanced tools and techniques.
  4. Fleet Management: Collaborate with team members to manage our fleet of DAF Skip Trucks, roll on roll off, Grab vehicles, Tippers, Artic units, Walking floors, and company vans.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the workshop, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all employees.
  7. Workshop Organisation: Keep the workshop clean and organised, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and readily available when needed.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role (2 years minimum) is required.
  2. Diagnostics and Tools: Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools is essential for effective problem-solving.
  3. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail are necessary for delivering high-quality results.
  4. Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
  5. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous, but not essential.
  6. Licence and Certification: HGV Class I or II licence and Driver CPC are preferred, but we welcome applications from candidates who are willing to obtain these qualifications.

The estimated annual salary for this position is £50,000 - £65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
