Job Description

This role within our Model Risk Management (MRM) team will require the successful candidate to perform reviews and validation of key actuarial models. The ideal candidate will have nearly qualified actuary status, good analytical and technical skills, and knowledge of actuarial models and modelling software.

Duties:

  1. Perform Model Risk reviews as planned or assigned by the DRMC or in response to major model changes.
  2. Independent review of actuarial models under PL's Model Risk Management (MRM) Framework, including independent baselining, and checking they comply with MRM standards.
  3. Ad hoc reviews where required by DRMC.
  4. Monitoring process of agreed remediation actions from past reviews.
  5. Assist with management information reporting for reviews conducted.
  6. Review of model inventory risk assessment.
  7. Provide support to MRM initiatives conducted by PL and PL Re, such as rollout to modelling community of Spreadsheet Guidance/best practices in MRM.
