Job Summary

Websters Rural is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agronomist to join our team. As an Agronomist Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing technical advice and support to farmers and agribusiness clients, helping them optimize crop nutrition, pest control, soil management, and irrigation to improve yield and efficiency while promoting environmentally sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on crop nutrition, pest control, and irrigation to farmers and agribusiness clients.
• Conduct field visits to assess crop conditions and soil health.
• Develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to minimize the use of chemical pesticides.
• Analyze soil and tissue samples to recommend fertilizers and optimize crop growth.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest agronomy research, technology, and best practices to provide innovative solutions to clients.
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide agronomic support and promote Websters Rural's products and services.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions and observations to ensure accurate reporting and data analysis.
• Promote sustainable farming practices and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain the highest standards of environmental stewardship.

Requirements

• BASIS / FACTS qualified.
• Proven experience as an Agronomist with a strong track record of delivering results-driven solutions to clients.
