## Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

## Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Fitzroy Academy, a new independent school for young people with autism, learning disabilities, communication difficulties, complex needs, and associated emotional and behavioural difficulties.

### Job Summary:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a class teacher to support small groups or individuals to access bespoke learning programmes based on their developmental ages and abilities. You will need to have some experience working in a special needs environment or educational setting, and be confident and resilient in working one-to-one with students under teacher guidance.

### Key Responsibilities:

* Support students with complex needs in a small class setting
* Assist with the development and implementation of individual learning plans
* Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning programmes
* Provide emotional support and guidance to students as needed
* Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment

### Requirements:

* Experience working with students with special needs or in an educational setting
* Ability to work one-to-one with students under teacher guidance
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
* Commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment

### About Us:

The Fitzroy Academy is a brand new school near Shrewsbury, which caters for students aged 7 to 18 years. We offer students a nurturing environment in which to grow, learn and develop.
